This award recognizes an Illinois librarian who is making an outstanding statewide contribution to academic or research librarianship and to library development. The award is presented by the Illinois Association of College and Research Libraries (IACRL) Forum and CARLI. ILA is also accepting nominations for a number of other awards. A list of these can be found at www.ila.org/membership/apps/ila_awards.pdf.

CARLI is seeking volunteers to serve on 11 CARLI working groups, users' groups, and teams.
Volunteers chosen will serve a three year term, July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011. Faculty and staff members from all CARLI Governing Member libraries, with all levels of experience, are encouraged to apply. Participation in the work of these bodies offers library staff members a unique opportunity to influence the future of the consortium and its service program. CARLI committee work may require time and/or travel expenses. Anyone volunteering to serve on a CARLI committee, users’ group, or team should seek appropriate administrative approval before volunteering to serve.
